The craft of technical analysis has been close to Robert Prechter’s heart for decades. So it’s no surprise that he accepted an invitation to speak with fellow craftsmen at a gathering of the Canadian Society for Technical Analysts in 2009.
He used the opportunity to do a lot more than simply talk shop with this prestigious group. He presented his lecture titled Implication of the Wave Principle for Technical Analysis, with “implication” being the key word. Robert Prechter is known as the country’s leading market forecaster using the Elliott Wave Principle. Bob began his professional career in 1975 as a Technical Market Specialist with the Merrill Lynch Market Analysis Department in New York. He has been publishing The Elliott Wave Theorist since 1979 and is the president of Elliott Wave International. He is also Executive Director of the Socionomics Institute, which studies social mood and its impact on social action, including the stock market and the economy.
