UK Gilts Topped Near Key Resistance — Then the Triangle Thrust Hit

Interest-rate markets can move quickly once key technical structures complete. In a recent analysis from Interest Rates Pro Service, our analyst Ivo Zhelev identified a bearish triangle pattern developing in UK 10-year government bonds (gilts) — and highlighted a specific resistance zone near the (a)-(c) trendline where a reversal was likely.

At the time, he showed this chart to subscribers and noted that triangle thrusts often unfold as steep, swift declines once price breaks from the pattern:

That setup soon played out.

Gilts peaked on March 1 near the projected resistance area and then dropped sharply, quickly reaching — and satisfying — minimum downside expectations outlined in the forecast.

This real-market example highlights how our analysts use Elliott wave analysis to help identify developing opportunity zones and potential turning points before momentum shifts become obvious in headlines or price action.

The objective is consistent awareness of qualifying wave structures as they emerge — and having defined levels to monitor if market behavior confirms or invalidates the outlook.
